10 WWE Wrestlers Who REFUSED To Lose A Match!

[Applause] like the video subscribe to the channel and turn on those notifications and once you’re done leave a comment down below and I just might end up responding some wrestlers are as egocentric as they are sweaty most nights and come on you’d be lying if you tried to tell me you couldn’t imagine a few your favorite wrestlers putting a little bit of that backstage pull of good use every now and then across the years wrestlers like Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan are so synonymous with the toxic behavior that it isn’t even a spoiler they’re both obviously gonna be on this list I’m Dee wick and these are 10 wrestlers who flat-out refused to lose big matches number 10 John Cena over the Nexus now this is a borderline ridiculous way to start out a list because nowadays John Cena may have gone part-time but his spiritual home is and always will be World Wrestling Entertainment and no one knows better how to treat the young up-and-comers like superhero Cena except this was not the case a decade ago so uh baguette iou’s the Nexus were the hottest thing in the company thanks to a series of vicious attacks set upon the company itself and the wrestlers working for it before John Cena walked into SummerSlam ate a face full of exposed concrete before super seen hanging up and taking a two-on-one for the team WWE victory despite the best attempts of Chris Jericho and edge to explain how detrimental this would be to the eight rising stars Cena won for it yeah it was pretty fucking detrimental to those stars huh [Applause] number nine the shield to John Cena yes yes yes justice really does exist in this world and ironically enough it was the hounds of Justice providing it to the biggest stable killing bastard of the 2010s well the parallels might not be the cleanest between the Nexus and the shield I am sure that Wade Barrett sent his thank-you cards in memory of the yellow and black to the boys and vests for standing their ground against the patriotic landmark that once became flesh during their rise to the top the plan was for John to hand the trio their first loss in some tag capacity surely but none of the shield members understood the reasoning and in hindsight I don’t get it either so Rollins the smart man he is fun very hard against it until someone had the reasoning and common sense to you know not fuck over their entire careers and look what happened a smart call if I may [Applause] data number eight Rey Mysterio / Dolph Ziggler what the fuck is happening right now have all the true heroes of the WWE Universe been sucking in Joker’s laughing gasp is that why little ray-ray dressed up as the Clown Prince of Crime after picking up the Intercontinental Championship from Christopher Jericho Mysterio was looking to elevate the title six years before Cena and Bryan decided to show concern for the mid card titles because of this Mysterio actually refused not only to drop his Intercontinental Championship to Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam but pitch a perfect 3 for 3 consecutive shutout against him on pay-per-view that is a lot of words negatively impacting Dolph Ziggler unfortunately for Rey he’d end up dropping the belt very near after to John Morrison so unfortunately for so unfortunately for Dolph he was sacrificed for just about nothing Rey Mysterio refusing a job what number 7 stone cold over Brock Lesnar of all the things to eventually drive a wedge between Steve Austin and Vince McMahon behind the scenes it came down to this a fucking course it did except it wasn’t really as bad as you might think see by 2003 Austin was very aware of his position he was the top star still for sure but by no means was he looking to run a monopoly over the main event so when real-life gmoe Brock Lesnar walked into the world of professional wrestling and everyone looked at him for more than I don’t know zero seconds it was pretty clear he’d be going places and needed to gain himself someone that well Vince’s pitch-around King of the Ring was for Austin to do the job for Lesnar during an early round of the tournament as something of a shock win but Austin was not playing ball not because he wouldn’t work necessarily while he did think the setup would make Stone Cold look weak he was more concerned over the fact that a match that big was getting zero setup and being given away on free television a disservice both to Lesnar’s potential and his star of Austin’s magnitude both genuinely fair points Vince disagreed wholeheartedly and the rattlesnake soon walked out on W you mean number six Randy Orton over the Undertaker now for anyone immediately confused I must admit to breaking the rules in my own list because this would be a case of the exact opposite taking place WrestleMania 21 was the first time the Undertaker’s legendary streak was actually supposed to die as taker was already happy enough with his accomplishments and wanted to help out use this immense momentum and put over some younger talent well Randy Orton the hot-tempered cocky behind the stage pseudo prick we all know and try to love today actually declined in fact he outright refused to win the damn match despite what orden may occasionally show us he clearly does have high respect for the wrestling industry and has for at least 15 years now because this was very respectable although I do definitely now kind of wish that Orton had beaten the streak and not rock [Applause] number five Nevel / Enzo I mean it’s it’s Enzo Enzo amore it’s it’s this man you’re seeing on screen can you really blame Nevel despite being probably the best wrestler on the entire WWE roster Nevel was relegated to the lackluster cruiserweight division and one day told he’d be dropping their top title to Enzo amore may I remind you this guy oh I’m so sorry Neville fun fact he also apparently refused to lose to hangman and a page at the currently upcoming double or nothing show should we do a e/w content let us know in the comments down below I’m actually very interested what this title cuz you’re never gonna get it if you lay a hand on me you know it’s a goal number for a Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels [Applause] I won’t relegate much time to this but it would be a crime to not mention this SummerSlam oh five classic since in reality it’s the best case of two wrestlers both refusing to do the job to each other as strange that sounds it’s like the screw job but with a happy twist and yes obviously the screw job is this list spiritual number one but that would be boring so don’t expect to see it today so instead of diving into the whole mess of Hogan agreeing to three matches before sighting back problems let’s focus on how Shawn Michaels now backed into a corner instead of refusing to lose refused to let Hogan look good winning god bless Shawn Michaels’s antics sometimes they really were just the cream of the crop [Applause] number three Shawn Michaels / Bret Hart in a move that would completely overhaul that plans WWF had in mind for Wrestlemania 13 at the time Shawn Michaels supposedly suffered from a knee injury infamously lost his smile and vacated the WWF Championship which went from the original plan of being defended by HBK against Bret Hart all the way to the match pitting Undertaker and psycho Sid in the year’s main event it was a pretty big jump and many people assume the reasoning behind it was the fact that Shawn wasn’t going to go over despite working fine together over 1996 the issues between the two slowly just kept boiling until the water was out of the pan harsh in February of 1997 and Shawn decided that if Debby WF wanted him to drop the belt of bread he’d be better off not showing the event at all Shawn didn’t refuse to lose he flat-out refused to even compete I’d take care of myself and I have to go back and I have to find my smile somewhere along the line I lost it number two Hulk Hogan / Bret Hart and continuing on in the pattern of shitting over Bret’s hard work we have yet another wrestling icon denying the excellence of execution victory this instance taking place about half a decade earlier when Hulk Hogan constantly refused to put over the clear obvious future of the industry WrestleMania 9 for example that’s when Bret Watts the WUF title to Yokozuna before Hogan came out stole the belt for absolutely no reason that was pretty weak why not let Bret just you know enjoy his time in the Sun well that’s pretty bad but even more came at SummerSlam when Hogan went against his original word decided he wasn’t gonna lose to Bret Hart and quoted he’s not big enough Wow instead he dropped the belt back to Yokozuna left for WCW and burned the bridge hard with Vince and breath in everyone it’s Hulk Hogan it’s what he does and number one Triple H for about three years the early years of Roz brand split were Roth man triple Eight’s just he didn’t even refuse to lose he refused to look bad in like any condition possible across the years from o to 205 the game pretty much ended the careers or at least halted a very considerable amount of momentum from Goldberg Booker T Rob Van Dam Randy Orton among many many others until finally being dethroned by Batista in terms of long term storytelling it was pretty great for Batista as for short-term storytelling for everyone else and that was probably the most upsetting period for a lot of wrestling fans no no more Austin no more rock there’s no more Attitude Era but hey guys have four more years of Triple H being shoved down your throats oh right and those were 10 wrestlers who refused to lose what are your thoughts let’s know in the comments down below up to liking the video subscribe to the channel a notification saying that Bell [Music]
