EVERY LEGEND WWE Wrestler Confirmed & Rumoured To Return For Smackdown 20th Anniversary on FOX

for October promises to be one huge night for the blue brand as Smackdown moves to Fox this Friday with a guest list bigger than some promotions rosters join us now as WrestleMania looks at the guest list for Friday’s show as well as some rumors surrounding it finally the Rock has come back after weeks of speculation whether the WWE legend Smackdown was named after would show up for the show’s 20th anniversary celebration The Rock took to Twitter announcing finally I have come back to my WWE Universe this Friday night I’ll return for our debut of Smackdown live on Fox TV there’s no greater title than the People’s Champ and there’s no place like home tequila on me after the show while the rock played a crucial role in smackdowns early years the people’s champion would eventually leave the WWE for a potential Hollywood career succeeding beyond anyone’s wildest expectations nonetheless when people hear the word Smackdown they think of the rock laying it down on someone’s candy ass incredibly as big as the Rock’s appearance will be there’s a whole host of other guest stars scheduled to appear Steve Austin those Smackdown was named for the Rock’s famous catchphrase of laying the smackdown on opponents Stone Cold Steve Austin was an integral part of the show’s initial success being involved like the rock in many famous storylines ranging from his war with the mcmahon-helmsley alliance to his unlikely turn as the leader of the WCW ECW Alliance hell-bent on destroying the WWF although stone cold won’t be wrestling nor will most of the legends showing up on the show he recently said not to rule out a one-time return to the ring which means we could see some sort of build-up for a match Hulk Hogan now that the Hulkster is back in WWE’s good graces he’s a familiar face any time the WWE needs a true legend despite the ratings it’s difficult to think of a better wrestler than Hulk Hogan to serve as the Babe Ruth of wrestling making goodwill appearances and providing instant recognition for even the most casual of wrestling fans some might think Hogan is being overexposed by appearing at Raw’s season premiere and smackdowns 20th anniversary but those individuals just don’t understand the appeal of Hulkamania Ric Flair like Hulk Hogan Ric Flair provides mainstream recognition as Flair is also a true crossover star and arguably more so than the Hulkster Flair’s popularity is obvious as he’s still seen in commercials and used for promoting a number of things aimed at a hip audience as opposed to an audience in need of hip replacements unlike Hogan Flair’s controversial image is to his advantage as he’s still seen as someone who lives the playboy lifestyle but hasn’t embarrassed himself as Hogan did when his racist comments emerged although many people have forgiven Hogan simply put Ric Flair is the coolest guy in the room as seen by his endorsement deals with Adidas and the hell a mega tour as well as Slick Rick introducing Musical star Khaled at an Atlanta concert Mick Foley one of the most beloved figures in WWE history Mick Foley’s off-the-wall antics is mankind Cactus Jack and Dude Love eventually won over the WWE’s fans as did Foley’s total disregard for his well being during the various high spots that earned him a spot in wrestling immortality Foley has served a number of roles outside the ring but whenever Foley shows up you can be sure he’ll get a cheap pop and Friday Night Smackdown inaugural episode on Fox will be no exception bang-bang The Undertaker after several years of matches where fans began to groan and asked when will the Undertaker retire before he tarnishes his legacy The Undertaker surprised the wrestling world when he announced his desire to keep going while his 2019 match against Goldberg in Saudi Arabia all but convinced fans that his career was done the Phenom team up with Roman reigns at Extreme Rules against Shane McMahon and drew back entire prove that there’s still fire burning inside with whispers of the fiend working a program against taker persisting this week’s whacked out is arguably the best venue to start things off and help make the show one for the ages if the fiend confronts The Undertaker at the Smackdown 20th Anniversary Show and like the internet to explode sting while the Stingers WWE career was nearly non-existent his legacy is WCWS franchise player earned him induction into the WWE Hall of Fame sadly Sting’s in-ring injury against Seth Rollins permanently ended his career before he could wrestle less than a handful of matches in the WWE nonetheless his enduring popularity makes him well-received any time he shows up and Friday Night Smackdown will be no exception if the WWE plays its cards right it might even bring in former WCW fans and give them a reason to tune into WWE Bill Goldberg while staying rarely wrestled for WWE Bill Goldberg worked for the WWE from 2003 to 2004 in a mostly forgettable campaign but returned in 2016 for a series of matches against Brock lesner while Goldberg’s WWE return at 2019 super showdown was arguably wrestling’s biggest disaster since the debut of the Shockmaster his subsequent SummerSlam bout with Dolph Ziggler wiped some of the stink off of him and an appearance this Friday on Smackdown will probably help things further don’t be surprised to see Dolph Ziggler confront Goldberg the two had what most fans believed was a staged confrontation in Las Vegas and get beatdown for his trouble Mark Henry the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry’s WWE career may have stumbled initially but once he got his footing Henry became a bona fide star holding World titles and feuding with some of the biggest names in WWE whether it was his feud against the Undertaker his haul of pain or his battle of the big man against the Big Show Henry provided some big moments for the blue brand earning his 2018 induction into the WWE Hall of Fame Kurt Angle the WWE’s resident Olympic hero hasn’t been seen much on WWE television since he worked his retirement match at WrestleMania and helped put the fiend over during an episode of Raw last summer Angle is a perfect fit for smackdowns anniversary show since he debuted for the WWF the same year is the blue brand’s debut participating in some of the show’s biggest angles no pun intended and even if was we wouldn’t admit it who can forget angles love triangle with Stephanie mcmahon-helmsley and Triple H or as epic feud with Brock lesner including their Iron Man match on Smackdown Angle made his mark on the blue brand and he’s a great pick as a special guest Booker T two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is a busy man whether it’s his work in the WWE or his wrestling podcast Booker T is always ready to provide some excitement and usually a few laughs so it should be interesting to see what role he plays on Smackdown Booker’s WWF debut as a member of the WCW ECW invasion was just the start for a strong run on Smackdown could we see a confrontation between king Booker and King Corbin Jerry the King Lawler known for his razor-sharp wit and risque dialogue Lawler has become a beloved figure in WWE and fans can only imagine what he has in store for Friday trish stratus the WWE Universe got lots of Stratis faction when Trish stepped into the ring at SummerSlam against the Queen Charlotte Flair working at Roode rematch that had the fans wishing Trish would come back for just a few more matches while Trish has said that won’t happen her presence on the upcoming Smackdown could help start an angle with any number of current female superstars even if that doesn’t happen it’ll be fun seeing one of wrestling’s hardest workers and a trailblazer in the women’s division Lita like Trish Lita pioneered the WWE’s women’s division trailblazing thing’s for today’s crop of talented women litas presence alone is good for a hefty heaping of nostalgia but there’s always the possibility she could step back into the ring either in singles competition or alongside a wrestler from her era or from today potential guests the WWE has a number of Fox TV stars and athletes that can bring in four special appearances at the for October’s Super Show the question becomes how many people can it fit into one show although the possibilities are endless it’s likely the WWE and Fox will limit celebrity appearances to cameos and/or pre-recorded messages mr. McMahon while Vinnie Mac is busy preparing his launch of the XFL it would be unthinkable not to have the WWE chairman show up in some capacity for the blue brands big move to Fox will Vince eat a stutter or merely get insulted by one or more of his superstars whatever happens Vince McMahon is the man fans love to hate and Wrestlemania hopes he’ll show up Triple H the Cerebral Assassin really came into his own in 1999 not only becoming WWF Champion but playing a major role on WWF television as one half of the mcmahon-helmsley faction Triple H is working closely with the stars of NXT but a surprise appearance by the game could easily happen ultimately WWE has the chance to make a great impression on new viewers checking things out lapsed fans and current fans unsure whether to continue watching Smackdown on its new tonight the show looks like a can’t-miss event on paper and WWE would have to go out of its way to ruin it the only drawback to running a show this big is that WWE will have its work cut out for it in making subsequent episodes as engaging regardless this one should be spectacular well guys there you have it all the confirmed guests for the 20th anniversary of SmackDown as well as some possibilities are you excited for the show be sure to leave your comments and don’t forget to subscribe to our channel follow us on Instagram and Twitter and I’ll see you next time for some more wrestling content
